At BadgePass, streamlining card issuance is our top priority. Our production process ensures every card is printed, personalized, and activated with the correct door access permissions during issuance—so cardholders can begin using their badge on assigned doors immediately.

Many access control systems require a multi-step activation process, often sending cardholders to different departments to complete setup across multiple systems. While manageable during initial issuance, this approach can introduce security risks when lost or misplaced badges need to be replaced. BadgePass eliminates that vulnerability by issuing and activating credentials from a single, unified interface.

Eliminate Credential Overflow

With BadgePass, when a replacement badge is issued for an existing cardholder, any lost or stolen credentials are automatically deactivated during the print process—ensuring each individual has only one active badge at any time. Many other systems rely on multiple steps across different platforms to deactivate old credentials, which often leads to more active cards than actual users—a problem known as credential overflow. Because badges function as keys to your facility, reducing this risk is critical to maintaining strong security.

Our secure issuance process helps eliminate credential overflow, and our DataSync Utility plays an equally important role. DataSync allows you to import data from existing systems—such as a Student Information System or HR database—directly into BadgePass. This not only streamlines enrollment by removing manual data entry, but also ensures cardholder information remains accurate and up to date.
